Is Canada Dead?
Nearly two months ago, my family and I went on an Alaskan cruise; it departed from a very small town called Whittier, Alaska and ended in Vancouver, Canada. I had never been to Canada before, so we decided to spend a couple of extra nights at the end of the trip to explore Vancouver and see what it had to offer. When we arrived at the Port of Vancouver on the morning of September 20, the surrounding view was beautiful. To one side of the ship, I saw beautiful mountains that seemed to rise like the sun just beyond the city’s limits. On the other side of the ship, I saw the Vancouver city skyline, which, though consisting of mostly modern high rises, appeared to be aesthetically pleasing and well taken care of. And from the back of the ship, I could see a bustling and active port, consisting of beautiful boats and seaplanes that seemed to effortlessly ascend from the sea into the sky in a matter of seconds. Indeed, everything seemed pretty idyllic, at least at first.
When we departed from the ship, however, and took our first steps onto dry land, my sense of appreciation and admiration for the city began to decline. The first thing I saw to welcome me to this new city and new country was a Canadian flag, which was fitting, obviously. However, just about six inches below that, hung for all to see, was a “Progress Pride Flag,” which, if you are unfamiliar, is an updated pride flag that “includes new colors and a design that are meant to represent people of color, as well as people who are transgender, intersex, or non-binary.” The local authorities apparently found it necessary and desirable to show for all the world to see, that the most important aspect of the city, right below its Canadian identity, was its support for sexual disorder, sodomy, and transgenderism. While odd, I thought it was perhaps just a one off…maybe one particularly emphatic local politician got their way. Unfortunately, over the next 48 hours, I discovered that this worldview was entirely pervasive throughout the city, so much so that several supposedly “Christian” churches had the “Progress Pride Flag” painted onto the steps leading into the church. Truly disgraceful, and just further evidence that the main proponents of the LGBT worldview do not simply desire to be left alone, or to be allowed to love whom they want to love; instead, they seek to push the agenda down your throat, demand that you comply, demand that your churches comply, and seek to socially ostracize you, or worse, if you dare disagree.
So, we’ve already established that this Canadian city seeks to envelop its visitors in its sexually perverse ideology; what else could go wrong? Well, I only had to take a city tour to find out. The same day we arrived, we took a bus tour around the city; one of the stops was inside a truly beautiful city park. This park is abundantly blessed with beautiful trees, brush, and flowers, with wonderful biking and walking paths along the water. Again, truly idyllic. As we were driving through the park though, the bus began playing a recording, which contained a land acknowledgment, setting forth the narrative that this land we were driving through was taken by the Canadian government from the “First Nations” indigenous group, and that this is something we have to try to reconcile, as the Canadian government and the First Nations group continue to seek reconciliation. As with the progress pride flag, I thought perhaps this was just a one off. As I continued walking around the city though, I started noticing that many buildings had something similar written on a plaque by the entrance, saying something to the effect of “This building stands on the land of the First Nations” with a corresponding apologetic phrase. This thinking is absurd for the following reason: if you did actually take land from a group and you are sorry for it, then give the land back to the group you claim you took it from. Personally, I don’t think living on land that your ancestors conquered is something to be sorry for. I did not do anything wrong, and land has historically been obtained through conquest and war, so I see no problem proclaiming my property as my property, as opposed to saying it belongs to some other group who wasn’t strong enough to keep possession of it. Perhaps one would take issue with that perspective. But what this Canadian government and Canadian businesses are doing is far worse. If they genuinely believe that they stole this land, and are genuinely apologetic for that as they claim, then they should restore the land to the indigenous peoples they believe they took it from. But they don’t; instead, the Canadian government takes in millions of dollars from park tourists, and the Vancouver business collectively make billions of dollars off the land that they claim belongs to someone else. Thus, their “land acknowledgement” amounts to nothing more than a pitiful self-hatred at worst, and cheap virtue signaling at best.
Thus far, we’ve established that Vancouver and the Canadian government either hates itself at worst or is insincere at best, and that they want to force sodomy on you; as if that weren’t bad enough, they also want you dead. In 2016, Canada officially legalized euthanasia, otherwise known as suicide, for those whose death was “reasonably foreseeable.” To the surprise of nobody, the Canadian government expanded euthanasia in 2021 to include those whose “death is not reasonably foreseeable.” In 2023, over 15,000 Canadians killed themselves, accounting for nearly 5% of all deaths in Canada. To add fuel to the fire, beginning in 2027, Canadians with “mental illness” may be legally eligible to be euthanized. Going through a bad breakup or the loss of a loved one? Why be burdened by the hardships of life when the Canadian medical system can kill you instead? For a fee of course.
To recap, the Canadian government hates itself, wants to force sodomy on you, and wants you dead. I’m not sure if Canada is dead, but it is certainly dying. And what I do know is that I would not want to be a Canadian who is depressed, disabled, or ill, because the Canadian government and medical establishment are coming for you.
